What an amazing week! This past Tuesday, we released Chaos Wastes, a new and free rogue-lite expansion for Vermintide 2. As many of you know, we started this journey over a year ago. It wasn’t always easy, and frankly it took longer than we would have hoped to get here. But, we also wanted to take the time to deliver the fun you deserve.

And judging by your initial reaction, it looks like there is plenty of fun to be had. In fact, in the first 48 hours, Chaos Wastes has quickly become one of our most played modes with the highest number of players online since the launch of the game - which is amazing for a product we continue to support three years later.

Needless to say, we are both thrilled and humbled by the incredible support of Chaos Wastes. Of course, we are not done yet. We hear your feedback and will continue to do our best to shape the experience with you in mind.

There was an error with the presentation of the Shade package. Whilst the package delivered complete, it appeared to be missing the hat and the price was inverted. The end product was correct - as was the price - but in order to avoid confusion we de-listed it until we can patch - most likely tomorrow!

Buffed overall damage, changed the poke to a light instead of heavy damage profile, and it now costs 1 stam to poke so folks cant just turtle through the map indefinitely.

It's a tricky one really. When we do go hype players tell us not to. When we don't they tell us to hype it. For Vermintide we just plan on working on content, doing focused testing with a solid and varied set of players and iterating on that content and then do a short pre-release campaign before dropping the content to the wider community.

You might not like that, but it's how things will be for now :) in the case or Chaos Wastes you might be pleasantly surprised as to why we don't need to push too hard. Time will tell though.
